And We have a WINNER

The Rosewood Equestrian Group Float Raffle Draw was held at 10am on July 4th at the Division 10 Councillor David Pahlke’s office in the presence of Krystal Stapleton, Cheryl Bowman and Maxine Ellison, with Melissa Bell on phone. The winning ticket number was #3194 with Lindsay Kuhrt the lucky name on the ticket.

The presentation of the float to Lindsay took place at Price Produce in Rosewood at 11.00 am on July 5th in the presence of Maxine Ellison, Megan Hayne, Bob Bredhauer, owner of Price Produce, and an interested audience. Lindsay, Marina and family were thrilled to win the float and only the night before thinking they would have to buy a float as the family were in desperate need of one.

We would also like to thank everyone who bought tickets for your support for REG. After we paid for the float, you have helped us be over $6,000 closer to the goal of building a true multi-discipline Equine Centre of Excellence in Rosewood. We are really excited to be making great progress on this fantastic resource that will allow many clubs to have dedicated grounds with sufficient space and purpose built grounds to hold State and National Events in a wide range of disciplines.

We appreciate their commitment and effort to make time to attend the meeting to ensure they are up to date with the progress of the Rosewood Equestrian Group.

We are proud to have the following dedicated people appointed to our 2016 Committee

Executive Committee:
President – Maxine Ellison
Vice President – Melissa Bell
Secretary – Caroline Jeffs
Treasurer – Nicole Schuemann

Sub-Committee:
Newsletter Editor – Margaret Drew
Event Coordinator – Megan Hayne
Grants & Fundraising Officer – Wendy Jones
Public Relations Officer – Debbie Summerhayes
Webmaster – Nicole Schuemann

There was a fantastic turnout with members from many of the equestrian clubs in the West Moreton region attending the meeting and almost filling the hall. There was lively discussion when the meeting was opened for questions from the audience which clearly demonstrated how many are keen to have input and provide support to make this a successful community project that is accessible to all members of the horse community in the South East Queensland area.

Thank you to all who contributed to this discussion, with some great ideas presented, and the many questions which allowed our President Maxine to answer some concerns and provide a comprehensive overview of the project to date, and the forward vision for our world class equine facility that’s planned for Rosewood.

The official report from the AGM will be available soon here on our website
